- Home Ghostly Lament of Dr. Samuel Johnson
By: Hubert Wilson

Confounding this literate ghost!
Overtly grossed!
Nocticeably this phantom so vexed!
Very perplexed!
Excited Americans with all their cell phones!
Repulsively his poltergeist bemoans!
Silently on their laptops!
Absolutely his spirit's jaw drops!
Taken with a text messaging flood!
Illuminating to his apparition as mud!
Obsessing Americans now electronically replace -
No longer with dialogue face to face!

About this poem:
Would Dr. Johnson today be required to write a new dictionary to understand George W?
